Located in Jomhori Street, the grand bazaar of Tabriz is among the most glorious tourist attractions of the country.
The International Bazaar of Tabriz, one of the masterpieces of Iran and the world architecture is situated on path of Silk Road and has over one square kilometers area. It has 5500 shops, 35Sara, 25Timcheh (passageway with shops) 30 mosques, 20 Rasteh Bazaar(rows of shops), 11 vestibules, 9 Seminaries,5 public baths. With 40 different jobs, Tabriz Bazaar, one of the biggest trading centers of Silk Road represents eastern-Islamic life.
The great complex of Tabriz Bazaar with the length of one kilometers, is inscribed in the list of the UNESCO’s world heritage as the 11'th registered international relics in 2010 as the first and the biggest roofed and brick structure located in silk road.
Tabriz Bazaar leads to Aligapo building from east and to Jame Mosque from vest and to AjiChay River (Mehranrood).
Tabriz Bazaar was registered as No. 1097 in the list of Iran’s national relics in 1354 due to its historical importance.
