On the occasion of Fajr Decade (Dahe-ye- Fajr) and the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the ceremony of the Iranian Cultural Days in Bosnia and Herzegovina was formally held at Vichnitsa Hall of Sarajevo with the participation of artists and performers from Tabriz and cooperation of the Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ali Asghar Ameri,.
In the first meeting, the Iranian delegation met with Milan Tarivich, deputy mayor of Sarajevo, and Ivo Komšić Ivo Komšić, former Mayor of Sarajevo. During the meeting, both sides pointed to the deep historical and cultural links between two countries emphasizing on the necessity of utilizing such commonalities aiming at increasing mutual understanding of both sides in various arenas.
In a separate meeting held with deputy mayor of Sarajevo, Hojat-ol-eslam Hamidi, the social and cultural deputy of Tabriz municipality, said: “The splendid event of “Tabriz 2018” is an ideal occasion to share cultural and historical commons of Islamic countries “.
Expressing his appreciation to the Sarajevo authorities, cultural deputy later pointed to the selection of Tabriz as the tourism capital of Islamic countries and declared that Tabriz municipality is ready to host cultural days of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tabriz city.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Hamidi referred to the Tabriz municipality’s great efforts providing tourism facilities and hoped to host numerous tourists in 2018.
While welcoming to the Iranian delegation, Milan Tarivich, deputy mayor of Sarajevo, stated that Tabriz and Sarajevo enjoy lots of historical and cultural joints and hoped to expand bilateral cooperation in the different fields.
